How to make a application Empty How to make a application

    Application Procedure

If you were a member of ????? you would be home now!

????? is a professional and dedicated raidgroup with an open and friendly attitude.

We take raiding seriously and at the same time we raid to have fun, we give our very best on every raid, we come prepared and strive for progress, in the process we work as a team of friends and we try to have a lot of laughs in raids and little yelling.

If this description suits you then we hope you will take the time to make an application to join our group.

    Before you apply

Check the Recruitment Status, you are welcome to apply even if we are not currently actively recruiting your class, though bear in mind we may be able to offer little better than to put your application into a queue if you're applying to an already-full class.

    Minimum Requirements

Must be level 80, flying mount

First aid 400 (enough to use the top-end bandages, obviously 450 shows you've spent a bit more time rounding our your character)

Activity: Online 2-3 raiddays a week during raidtime (19:30 - 23:45 server time Mon, Wed, Fri & Sun).

Ventrilo: Able to understand spoken English and listen to directions. A microphone is highly desirable but not a demand.

Connection: Your PC and internet connection need to be generally reliable and stable; we don't expect you to have a €4,000 monster PC running quad monitors, but we do expect you to be able to stay online through a raid. We understand that sometimes disconnects and crashes will happen, but they need to not happen all the time.

    Age: Should be 18+

Gear: Good quality gear, which should be appropriately topped off with suitable enchants, gems, and if appropriate tradeskill-specific bonuses (eg enchanters should have ring enchants, jewelcrafters should have dragon's eye gems socketed, leatherworkers should have fur linings on their bracers, etc). At the time of writing, this will generally mean that the majority of your gear should be item level 200 or better.

Spec: Intelligently selected spec that will work well in a raid environment. Be prepared to explain why you've chosen what you have, and how that will help you contribute to a raid's success! Willingness to re-spec for certain encounters/situations is a big plus.

Additional Requirements: A deep understanding of your class and its utilities. You should be eager to constantly improve your class and be open to information and changes that will bring your character to its full potential.

In general your gear should be of sufficient standard that you will be a help not a hindrance to a raid that you join us for; if you're unsure whether your gear is "up to it" please feel free to chat about it with a relevant officer.

    Other info
The Recruitment Status thread will state if we have open spots and where. Do remember however that even if we are not currently looking actively for your class/role, you may still get a long way by applying. We queue all good applicants that we don't have room for and sometimes a spot may open very suddenly. So do apply regardless of if we say your class is full, and we will let you know the minute a spot opens.

To make an application, you should ideally start out by contacting a relevant officer in-game - ie a tanking officer if you're a tank, healing officer if you're a healer, etc, and have a brief chat with them; having done so, you can send them a PM on this website based on the Application Template. They will then be able to bring that up for consideration by the officers as a whole. Alternatively, you can post a thread in this forum; it will be moved to a (hidden) officer forum once it's under consideration.

If your application is denied we will tell you why, and our decisions are final.

All applications that are not denied or taken up for trial immediately are queued. If you do not get a direct response to your application PM your application has been queued, unfortunately we do not always have time to reply to all queued applications, just keep in mind that if you do not hear anything from us within a week or two, you should probably try applying somewhere else, but also be prepared for the fact that we may poke you in game with offer of a trial run, if our recruitment status suddenly changes.

If your application is picked up, we will contact you in game and set you up for trialling to determine your individual skill as well as your social skills when it comes to communicating and cooperating with others.

    Good luck!
